I was driving down the road, and out of no where my securikey pad just broke in half, and flew off. I still have the module that installs to it, but the whole bezel is gone. Does anyone know if I can just buy the bezel piece with the flush numbers? If so, where?

This may be difficult to prove without the bezel, but I would think that Ford Quality would be interested in inspecting it if it really did just fly off due to wind.

This has happened to some of the Flex/MKT folks as well. I have had 2 black appliques replaced due to looseness. Keypad has been ok so far.

I doubt Ford will do anything. I have a 2012 that the warranty expired back in Dec.

I liked the old style pads, that were actually a push button pad mounted in the door. These new ones look very fragile and apt to break it they are hit too hard by anything. Yeah, it looks cool, but not a good design in my opinion.

Hi JasonTell7,

Have you checked out the Ford Parts site? Here's a link: http://www.fordparts.com By searching for 2012 Explorer keypad, I found this: Keypad I'd recommend verifying with your dealership's parts department if you're unsure if that is the correct part or not.

That's not it. Mine had the "invisible" keypad. It lived up to its name, because all of a sudden, it just vanished

I believe he is talking about the SecuriCode key pad that is in the door frame and lights up when you touch it.

HAHA! That's a good one. It's sad that the Explorer has so many parts fly off from the A-Pillar to this... Hopefully nothing else!

I know its been a few months, but if you're still looking for the part, I entered the part numbers for the door frame applique with and without keypad in one of my posts in This Thread
