- 2007 Ford Explorer
Hello all, this tread will be updated as I work on my explorer from time to time. Hoping to share and gain new ideas.
Vehicle Details:
2007 Eddie Bauer Edition 4.0L Explorer
Bought from the second owner on craigslist for $5600
130k miles (when i purchased it in the end of May)
Here are a few pics from the day I bought it:
Modification #1:
New Radio.
When I purchased the Ex it came with the stock ford radio player. The radio unit work fine, however the screen was not working, so finding stations was a bit difficult. One day I happened to go to Best Buy with my brother in law and his brother, some how they convinced me to upgrade to a Apple Carplay compatible radio. I ended up purchasing the Alpine iLX-007. Somehow I only ended up paying $326 on the unit, wireharness and plastic trims. I'd say I got really lucky.
Here is how the unit looks now
Modification #2:
Recently I have been applying to jobs (recent college grad) and looking to move down to florida from New York. I've been looking to to roof top cargo bags for storage, decided that I should replace the factory cross rails that were missing when I bought it.
I found the part on needed on Amazon.
Here is how it looks today.
Future Modification:
Since I decided to put the rails back on I decided to say what the heck and go all out.
Between September 6-9th I shall be getting a 39"x54" cargo basket, 22" LED light bar, and 4 4" LED spot lights. stay tuned for more.
Thank you, Zach
