2016 Ford Explorer Sport
Hello,

I recently purchased a 2016 explorer sport with the 3.5L twin turbo and my fuel gauge seems to go up to full when i go into higher elevation and when driving it went from 150 miles to empty to 0 damn near instantly. Upon putting in gas I did infact have 2 gallons of fuel left in the tank. Im thinking its a sending unit issue but I was hoping for help on how to get to it and what to check. etc.. Thanks in advance!

Welcome to the Forum Matt.
Elevation changes might affect the reading but I'm guessing it would have to be quite an elevation change. Just a guess though. I don't know for sure about the sending unit. I know that the pump is in the tank. I think part #15 is what you are looking for if in fact the sending unit is the problem.

I ordered a sending unit for the left side of the tank, anyone know how to change it though?
