Im Looking for a Nice Baja type bumper

Hi, Im new to this site so im not sure if im doing this right,
But anyways Im looking for a nice brand of baja type front bumpers for a 2000 explorer Do you know of any????

Do a quick search for prerunner bumpers.

I can't wait to see the rest...

Hey James, how's everything else going?

Here is what I got going on in the rear. As mentioned, your linked pic looked sort of boxy, so this is taller and more boxy than the one I normally make. The center panels and end caps are just tacked on.

Let me know what you think.

Here some clearer pictures of the bumper, tire swing and jerry can mounts.. I like the shape you've got going. Will it have room for the license plate and lights off to the side? And the tow hitch will be fully functional? Looking great!

Brian Kennedy, remember imitation is the sincerest form of flattery lol...

Holy crap, I got to the second picture of the front bumper, where the top part is built as well...

my jaw literally dropped. good looking work you've got going on here!

I think you've got 3 googly-eyed, drooling, sport trac drivers lurking this post....

Four. Four googly-eyed drooling Sport Trac drivers. That is awesome!

I'll fit a plate on there.

Tow hitch will be fully functional...I'll try to get a rear pic Monday, but there is a 2" tube spanning the mounts to which the rec is welded., and of course all that is welded together as well.

James....After I thought about it...is this the measurement you were looking for? If so, that will work.

Rear basically finished:

Have to fit the clevis mounts and find a place for a plate. It may need a bracket for that after the tire carrier is installed.

Looking great James!!!!!! :salute::):D

After much thought... I decided to go ahead and limit the Jerry can mount to 1 versus 2. Here's my inspiration...lol nothing new.... Looking forward to receiving front, rear bumpers, tire swing and jerry can mount so I can paint and mount!

Finished unless you see something I forgot :D

Actually, the lic plate is an issue. I drilled two holes in the jerry can mount and it can ride nicely in the 'framework' of the mount but if you'd prefer it somewhere else that's fine too. A bit too tall to fit well on the bumper.

I put clevis mounts on after these pics were taken.

James looking great! I think we can do without the tabs for a cleaner look with standard locking straps right? Also, is it leaning in towards the tire? I can't really tell. The tires are probably going to be 31-33" ...I can't tell if the left tail light will be fully viewable.

If the license plate is not mountable on the bumper I would like to add some 4" (or something) light holes. I was thinking the license plate could be mounted directly underneath the jerry can mount. Again, you're pretty awesome! thanks!

I think there will be plenty of room to see the taillight.

I can put some tabs under the jerry can for a plate.

Jerry can should be on the level. Optical illusion?

The sample bumper has tabs to hold the jerry can with a strap. I can cut those off, but don't know what a standard locking strap is or how it would work...

unless you mean you'd wrap the whole thing with a strap.

No room for 4" lights in the center, as the receiver bar runs lengthwise behind the face of the bumper. The right end has all the latch and stop stuff on it.

I can cut some sort of smaller light holes in a variety of locations, but it may be best to have a light in mind.

I'll mark up the bumper with some suggestions/options on some of this stuff tomorrow.
