My new ride, my first Ford...

Hey all, my name is Jordan. I'm in the HIllsboro/Beaverton/Portland area.

I've been through a lot of vehicles in my short life, but this is my first Ford...only second domestic actually. It's a spotless 1994 Explorer XLT. Loaded, leather, factory sub...and only 97k miles!

I just got it today and already have it modified a bit more to my liking :yahoo::beer:

Before (yes I know...it's teal...)

These tires clear ok with minor trimming, but looked a bit to stuffed...so I added a custom front spring spacer and added Warrior shackles to the rear giving 1.25-1.5" of lift which is perfect.

The lift was minor enough that I got it aligned with the factory bushings no sweat, popped on my Yakima basket (which may get an extension soon) and she's ready to roll. I'll get some better shots soon, including how perfect the leather is.

I'm working on a set of Gen II flares right now, I'll shoot them satin black for better tire coverage as the 3.25" B/S is making it poke a bit too much in the front. Also hoping to track down a late model 8.8 with 3.73 gears...this doesn't feel too bad as is, but it would help around town (as this is my daily)

Hope you all enjoy.

Looks good. The wheels look excellent on it. Enjoy the new ride.

Lookin good! Remember, if you are switching the gears in the back, you need to do the same to the front. Unless you already have 3.73s and are switching over for the disc brakes.

Ah yes, thanks. I'm so used to RWD cars that I hadn't even thought about that!

Very nice! The new rims and tires really do make that truck... Nice choices!
