My race tires temporary setup

Well i finally put my race setup on for a little while. For now the rims have the tires taken off of my stock rims. But i plan on getting some different tires for the front and rear once i have the money available. But that will be a while after i get the line-lock and the diff-locker. But i think it kind of looks cool like this though. Plus also i can squeal second gear when shifting now. I love that stage 4 shift kit. Looks soooo much different than with the 20's. But maybe in a month or so i willput the 20's back on once i have had my fun with these rims and tires. lol. All i got to say is that i plan on making a very cool video of me smoking my tires. Hehe. And another one of it squealing second. Well that is all from me for now. c ya.

And the last one. Kind of resembles a cops car with the plain black rims and tires on it.

DUDE, that actually looks awsome. Much more aggressive looking then with the 20's. I like it a lot like that.

With your mods and shift kit at stage 4 (tire chirping time), and the lighter rims/tire set, I'd say your easily good for around a 15.7 in the quarter, considering our Mounty has run the 1/4 completley stock at 16.1 so.....I'm still waiting to see that set of Weld lightweight forged Prostars on your truck on slicks and skinnies:p

I like the look with the American Racing rims though, nice and mean, will look even better with a set of of beefy Pirelli's for the street with a set of slick's for the rear at the track. You might as well go ahead and sell those "heavy 20's", the extra money would help you get your project done soonerDead Link Removed

Thanks man. Yeah it does look alot more aggressive. I will still keep the 20's though. Just because ilike the look of them alot. Besides i think it is kind of cool to be able to change my rims and tires for whatever setup and look i want. Mani should be able to get hooked up with a full set of tires for pretty cheal being that my buddy gets them at wholesale cost and i can just put my tires on his bill. Oh yeah. Man i cannot wait. Hack i would be really happy with going high 15's right now. Because that would mean that even lower numbers with the S/C will be easier to attain. I think if i had it all to do over again i would have went 17's and stuff for cost wise. But now that i have invested the money in these 20's and have gotten to see them on my truck i love them too much to get rid of them. It is alot of fun to see peoples reactions when i chirp-squeal second gear when shifting with an auto. They are just like. What!!!!!! An explorer that sounds like that!!! And then they hear it chirp and they are just even more amazed. lol. I like it. Well take it easy.

looks good i like the twenty's but those rims make that explorer look nice.

lol, you're not going to the "offroad side" on us are you? :D

Only if i had another vehicle. Lol. This one here is meant for the road only. hehe. But it does look like i could take it offroad with those rims and tires on it. lol. But i am going for the more police interceptor look versus the offroader look.
