My ranger seems to live forever...

Just wanted to share my experience with my 1988 ford ranger. the truck has been in my family since it was new. i bought if for 50$ 3 years ago and it still runs great. it currently has over 360k miles and still running strong. the motor and tranny are original, and for the most part so is everything else. its a 2.3 5 speed 4x2. anyone else have this kind of luck with the rangers???

aslong as you keep up with it, it will last forever.

almost 400k wow, im at 200k and i cant take the sleepy motor anymore, rebuild comming within a couple months haha My original manual tranny lasted 175k miles. I was running big tires with little gears for a while, it took its life. Other then that, i bet i could get my 4.0 to last 400k; hahah maybe. But will it annoy me in the process? (ticking, knocking associated with old motors)... yes, ahah
