TT wont keep those fatties from rubbing...

did you wire up the controls for the center console on the back?

lookin good

no i forgot the wiring, and it stopped them from rubbing as much and it sits alot higher in the front now which is nice.

looks good

lol i cranked the torsion bars and got 2 inches, i still need 16X10 rims, and my truck needs to be cleaned inside and out. and my 3 inch body lift comes wednesday and im going to order shackles for the back to and hopefully 4.10 gears and a aussie locker are next.

Stick with 8" wide wheels. The 33's will rub on 8" wheels with a body lift, and require slight trimming. A 10" wheel is going to make them rub much worse. Might as well ditch all that extra plastic behind the fog lights too.
The aussie locker is a great mod! I had them front and rear. Skip the 4.10 gears and go straight to 4.56 gears, trust me. My sport trac came stock with 255's and 4.10 gears. I put the 33's on and it was "alright", but definitely a little undergeared for the engine and weight of the truck. I went with 4.88 gears because I got a deal. They were a little over-geared (still fine on the highway up to 70-75), but 4.56 would be perfect. The 4.0L SOHC is much happier at higher revs.
Having owned that truck, I would never pay to install 4.10 gears on it with 33's.

eh i wouldnt think they would rub much worse with a 16X10. with 3 inch body lift and 2 inch tt and 2 inch shackle?

Suit yourself then.
Normally the 10" wide wheel will have same (or close) backspacing as the 8" wide wheel. Meaning that the extra 2" of width is all on the outside.
The rubbing occurs when turning. When you turn the wheels, that extra 2" sticking out there moved the tire forward and back MORE inside the wheel well, making more contact on the back of the wheel well.
Not to mention, the rear tires will not tuck under the fenders as well, sticking out so much further.
Plus you'll be putting a lot more stress on the wheel bearing and balljoints with the extra 2" of leverage.
The torsion twist is going to make the truck ride rough, leave little to no down travel in the front end, and won't do a whole lot to help clear tires, simply because of where they rub. If you use the thing off road at all, you'll still compress the front to full compression and rub.
But it's your truck :p:

Plus I think the 8" wheels look better. Here is mine with 15x8's, 33x12.50's, 3" body lift and warrior shackles. Best I have for a side shot showing where the tires sat.

A buddy had an ST with the same size tires (except they were for 15" wheels). He said the 15x8s make the tires look bigger then the 15x10s. Probably would have the same affect with 16s as well.

I think the 8" wheels will make them look taller/thinner. 10" wheels will make the look fatter.

so what did you go with and john is the expert here

i havent bought my rims yet :S but i think im gonna go with the 10's i wanted the fatter look, i never liked tall and skinny

good choice i would go with the 10s also but cant you just get fatter tires and have an 8" rim >?

what series flowmasters u got on ur sport trac. I got single in and dual out 40 series flows on mine but savin up to get true dual exhaust. And I got 2 1/2 inch tips on mine.

:D i got the from the cat back no muffler series lol 2 1/2 pipe to 3 inch tips , i am also saving up for true duals, but its illegal in the state of virginia for virginia to remove cats/ move a cat from its factory spot, so i have to take mine to north carolina where they want 400 dollars to do it.

i am saving up for true dual and they are asking 750 for me for true duals on my 01 sport. Are you dual exhaust flowmasters or a different kind of exhaust.
