Last night a friend and I were tinkering with my truck; I was trying to re-wire my lights so that the foglights would come on with my parking lights and headlights and not just the headlights. Needless to say, no go, but we discovered something quite unusual. We found an OBD-II port under the dash. It surprised me because when I had the CEL issue a few months ago (some of you may have read it) I had to go to AutoZone and they had to use the OBD-I reader. When I bought the truck, I noticed the manufactured date was 8/95. I just figured they must've started '96 production in September, but apparently not. So I have a OBD-I AND an OBD-II port. So I don't know if my truck qualifies as a '95 or a '96. But I do know that I will be doing a 302 swap later in the future!!

There's nothing unusual there. '95s have both OBDI and OBDII plugs. The engine codes are read from the OBDI port and the body codes are read from the OBDII port.

Yea ford has always been bad about that kind of thing. If its a first year or last year of a body style then your gonna have issues like that.

Yup, nothing unusual for the 95. All of them are Frankentrucks with many quirks.
