My winter build

Well I decided now that my X is paid off I'm going to dump some money in to her and make her new again. Here's what's to come:

20" Giovanna Dalar V rims (all black)
Hankook Ventus ST Tires (275/45)
Bell tech lowering springs (coated red)
Drilled and Slotted rotors (red calipers)

Smoked taillights
Smoked 3rd brake light
Smoked fog lights
Yellow Lamin-X headlights
DDM 3000k HID kit for low beams and fog lights

Shaved roof rack
Debadge
Black billet upper and lower grill

Spraying it satin black with Foose F150 style stripes done in gloss black with silver outline.

heres the wheels that I ordered

just a quick shot after it was sprayed down. not doing any hard washes yet. its a bit chilly out still and i want to make sure the paint is full cured

the color is a semi-flat or satin.. it is NOT matte and does NOT look like primer in person, these are all cell phone shots

sprayed my taillights with VHT Niteshades and put round dots over the reverse lights before i sprayed them. I like how they turned out.

I was gonna ask how you put an LED in there lol. Your ex is gonna look sick with the rims. Have you done anything to the motor or inside? And you should start a registry if you haven't.

first, whats a registry?

motor work has yet to come, I wanted to clean it up and give her a good stance before i dig in. Im going with drilled and slotted rotors and ceramic pads and have also decided on getting some belltech sway bars.

I plan to dig into the motor late summer or do a winter build.. I would LIKE to put a supercharger on it as well as upgrade the trans and change the gearing. still researching performance options.. its ONLY a V6 but the motor is brand spankin new. could be a fun little street truck, its not gonna blow up any dynos but it'll hopefully turn a few heads as i "whistle" by.

I have a lot of friends with heavily modded street cars i.e. 643hp Acura Intega, 790 whp EVO VIII, 490HP STI. So gettin help putting boost and modifying whatever else i need to shouldnt be an issue at all.

A registry is something you use to basically document the progress of your EX. And those are some pretty big plans im gonna be watching your builds lol. And you'll probably need to go through that motor and give it all upgraded parts otherwise the amount of boost you'd be able to run would be minimal without it blowing up.

okay awesome.. I'm only 23 but when I build things, I do it big.. here is my last build...

first build looked like this..

was jacked and recovered.. looked like this..

then i went to town and it now looks like this..

did EVERYTHING myself.. custom fairings, ducati tail section fabbed in, one off exhaust, sprayed all my fairings and wheels and did the pinstriping myself. also all the motor work and little details you dont see.

I broke the build down into phases. As money rolls in I do each phase. The next step is wheels, tires, springs and exhaust. After that I'll be doing my HIDs and headlight tint

well I just make a few phone calls, the Exhaust is getting installed the 17th. wheels and tires are getting put on the weekend of the 24th and hopefully ill be able to do my springs at the exact same time. Im waiting to hear from a friend to see if he will be able to help me.

that covers the big stuff, over the next week or two im going to try to get all the small stuff ordered and once thats all in just knock it out in a day!

made a little progress.. first off, Giovanna Wheels has to build the rims I want. they are set to ship out April 11th at the latest. from there I will drop and decide on a tires size.

for now I finally got the exhaust done, I used a Cherry Bomb Extreme Muffler and it sounds *****in!!

and the billet grill came in, honestly I HATE CHROME, so this will be powdercoated high gloss black tomorrow at work!!

trucks going back into the paint booth saturday and its gonna get sprayed satin black and cleared with a flattener additive put in with the clear. that way ill have the hardened quality of the clear with the flat look.. its being done at a hotrod shop so the quality will be second to none!
