Hi, this is the newest incarnation of an earlier thread:

I have a 1992 XL, which has a terrible coolant leak on the left (driver's side) of the engine. It isn't possible to actually see the source of the leak--it seems to be behind the bracket which holds the air conditioning compressor and steering pump. Revving the engine causes coolant to pour out from this area.

A photo of the area leaking can be found here:

If anyone has any ideas as to what it is that could be leaking (and how I should go about fixing it), I would very much welcome your help!

Many thanks in advance.

Would think it would be best to remove the componants envolved untill you get to the leak itself, at that point a fix may become apparant

And is moving the air conditioning compressor and steering pump a job for the typical home mechanic...or something better left to a service shop?
