mystery grounding strap...

anyone know where this grounding strap goes? Its grounded to the firewall right next to the washer fluid pump. it drops straight down but doesnt attach to anything...

probably to any bolt on the engine.

Yea most likely. You can get new ground straps at any auto parts store. There should be more then one I believe. Over time they corrode and become brittle, and break. But for sure connect a new one back up, sometimes it take a little while for any symptoms to actually show up.

most times they go to a threaded hole on the head

Is it the hood grounding strap? Has a clip on one end? Might be one to the main ECU also, but I'm not sure.
