I'm trying to find out if the body mount brackets located mid-way between the wheels, under the front seats, on an early 2nd-gen Explorer are welded or riveted on to the frame.
I need to replace one on my '93, but there are very few 1st-gen Explorers left in the northeast to get parts from, so I'm trying to see if I can expand my search to newer Explorers.
The only 2nd-gens I could find to look at in parking lots around me were a couple 2000-2001 Mountaineers, which had welded body mount brackets, so I'd like to see if maybe the earlier '95-'96 era used the same riveted mounts as the 1st-gen?
Any help would be appreciated!
