Need help finding a transmission for 4 l to fix my 92 ranger

I take it your engine is a 4.0? The automatic is an A4LD and the Manual is a M50D.

A4LDs from 1991 - 1994 should work. Manual transmissions from 1991 - 2001 should also work.

Thanks rick. Now to look for a vehicle with the right transmission and try changing it.
