need help identifying a part

i am getting OIL inside this connector and have no idea what it is.


any help would be greatly appreciated.

If that were a 5.0 I would say it was the trans harness connector.

But it would be on the firewall on the 5.0.

I believe it is your engine wire harness connection to the engine bay harness. Once disconnected the engine would be disconnected from the rest of the system. That is what it is for on my 98 4.0 sohc.

And you are right, if you are getting oil in there, something will happen that your engine won't like.
