I have a 2002 Mazda B4000 (basically a ranger) and I'm hopeful someone here can help me figure out what's going on. Here is a photo of the tube just loose and laying across the engine for the photo: https://imgur.com/a/MNaFN
I was working on the transmission and I noticed this small tube that was dangling. I've search around but I can't seem to figure out where it goes. To me it looks like one of the HVAC vacuum tubes, but as far as I can tell everything is connected (both hoses on the vacuum reserve, are on there). I tried to find some diagrams for the a/c system, but they have not been very helpful.
