how do i locate the explorer amplifier turn on wire?

I'm trying to install this 12 volt to 5 volt step down converter in my 2002 eddie bauer explorer because i'm getting the factory amp pop when i start the engine

this is the converter i got on Amazon: http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_19875_Axxess-AFDI-5V.html

it looks like this might be an older version of the converter as here is what crutchfield sells: http://www.crutchfield.com/p_120AFDI5V/Axxess-AFDI-5V.html?tp=2977#details-tab

can i still use the version i have?

i have an aftermarket radio

the manual for the converter says to "connect the Blue/Red wire to the vehicles amplifier turn on wire" but i don't see any wire to connect to in the vehicle...just all of the easy connect cuplinks to connect all of the wires

Where is this amp turn on wire and can i connect this older converter to it?

thanks

i figured it out, no need to reply.

Good to hear you figured it out.
But just in case someone else will have the same issue.
The amp turn on is really the remote turn on wire. The specific color can be found on the12volt.com
