need help please... no power coming to left headlight!!!

Hey guys,

got a little problem I havent been able to solve yet. A couple of days ago, the left headlight went out so I figured I need to replace the bulb. Well, turns out that the bulb works fine. It seems that power isnt getting to the bulb. I tried to see if the wires have been damaged somewhere but since its do damn tight in that area I havent been very lucky. Are there any places you can think of I should check before I take everything apart? Relays? Connectors? Anything?

Thanks for any help.

Take care.

I assume you checked the fuse? Some trucks have one fuse for each light, not sure on your 97, I have no gotten that far yet. :)

Yeah, there are separate fuses for the left and the right headlights, but they are fine.

I am gonna say it is the LOM under the console computer or a bad 9007 connector. I had a connector go out on my old 97 EB. I ended up having to get a headlight wiring hadness from a 97ish Escort and wiring it on. I chose the Escort piece because it is only about 15inches long.

My bets with Tonedeaf; LOM. Not too hard a fix.

Sweet....its working again :)

It really was the LOM. The hardest part was removing the two screws and getting this thing out of the console and after fixing it getting it back in. After removing the module from the case fixing it by re-soldering a couple of points that looked like they werent working any more only took about two minutes. Quick fix.

Thanks a lot for pointing me in the right direction. You all saved a lot of time and possibly a lot of money.
