Take the brake caliper craddle off. That's most likely your problem.

That is a cradle. That is what's probably in your way. No way will a rotor come off with that there. However, if that is removed. then no - there is nothing else holding it except RUST! Pull out your biggest dead-blow and beat on it (with two lugs on it though so it wont fly off)

Umm, pay attention, guys. He has a 2 wheel drive. Once the caliper is off, the anchor plate shouldn't have to come off. However, you will need to remove the dust cover from the center, remove the cotter pin and spindle nut, then slip the rotor off the spindle, taking care not to drop the outer bearing when it slides out (the dust seal will hold the inner bearing into the rotor so it won't fall out).

Do NOT bang on the rotor. All you'll manage to do is brinnell the bearings which will then need to be replaced in the near future.

im with gi joe on this dont beat it to get it off unless you use a rubber mallet but work it back and forth as before dont forget to remove dust cap nut and cotter pin.

If it is rust, I would tap the hat of the rotor with a metal hammer. I beat the crap out of mine with a rubber mallot and it did not move. A few light taps with a metal hammer on the hat was enough to break the rust that had fused it on.

However since you are 2WD, make sure you follow the instructions above - I beleive yours do not just slide off like the 4WD and AWD do.
