From my Briggs & Stratton... :D

Somebody threw a rod in my riding mower. So I got a new rod, but I need to get the crank turned because it got a little roughed up.

Here are some pics. How do I get it out? Those four little screws held the screen on and I can't get to those two 1/2" bolts underneath because The pull start mechanism is in the way.

How do I get the crank out??

Have you checked to see if it is pressed on. Might have to use a puller.

The recoil assy. is threaded.

Use a rubber mallet to spin it reverse of crank rotation.
