I am installing a 3" Performance Accessories body lift kit on a 93 sploder and have some problems with the body mounts like many others. How do you get the body mount on top of the gas tank without dropping the gas tank??? I am baffled at this point and am thinking about cutting a hole through the rear wheel wall to access this mount. Thanks any input would be nice.

I don't see how cutting through the rear wheel wall is going to help  With the spare tire dropped there should be enough room to access the mount from underneath as pictured.. Are you using air or just manual tools? Take a peek at Daystar Body mount replacment for related info and pics..

I just have manual tools at my disposal, and i see the bolt head under the carpet but i have to get something onto the nut underneath the body on top of the gas tank.... and needless to say i have to be able to put a new nut on there when everything is said and done! thanks

You don't need to go under thr truck at all. It's accessed from under the carpet in the back and you looen it up. I believe the nut is fixed so you shouldn't have to get access under there. Well mine was anyway.

You are correct.. In most cases you can spray on some penetrating oil and remove the bolt from the top.. But in severe cases (as pictured below) the lower mounting flange can be rusted out causing it to just spin... I dropped my gas tank when replacing the bushing..

Mine spun when taking mine off manually, all I did was stick the open end of a box end wrench onto the bolt on the bottom, get back into the truck, turned the top bolt till the wrench hit something and stuck and then just kept turning... Did the same thing to get the new one back on, and had no problem at all.
