I have dug deeper into having no audio or amp noise with the replacement radio. With the stock radio I metered the plug going into the rear amp. There is ground, constant 12v, and when the stock radio is turned on, the blue wire from the radio harness to the amp is carrying approx. 6v. Im guessing this is to wake up the amp or internal crossover. The blue wire at the dash is labeled mute but there is no mute option on the radio unless it's muting the amps input until the radio is turned on. The new radio has "remote on" and "power antenna" which both send out 12v. I really would like to use the stock amp and sub. Does anyone have any suggestions.
