need help with crank timing gear

Ok guys some one please tell me how to get the dang slot key out of the crank snout

It shouldn't be in there that tight. Get a flathead screwdriver and a rubber mallet and tap it out lightly.

Might have beat the (*&^$*$ out of it after fight'n with the balancer. .... .
