Need help

My daughter purchased an 01 explorer sport a couple months ago. About 156000 miles on it. The other day she said the AC wad going. Today, it was raining. She said water was getting in the trunk, guage light came on. Brake was hard to push and car shook some. Gears were messed up. Any ideas with this model before I waste hundreds trying to figure it out? No issues before this.Thanks
