need ideas

for a quick disconect for my amp (turn on lead) i was thinking about those clips you can slide in and out (like in cheap boxes on cheap subs, think there called banana clips) or a toggle switch. but how would i wire up the toggle switch?

A simple SPST toggle would work. One with two leads on the body. Splice that into the wire.

Simple crimp-on insulated terminals would work also.

would that work? running it from the cd player and from the amp. just hit the switch and it would come on?
