Need new shocks?

I'm planning on doing shackles, AAL, and TT on my 99 XLT and was just wondering if I need to go ahead and get new shocks. It has 82k miles on it and I don't know exactly how long they're suppose to last. If I do need new ones, what are some shocks that y'all would suggest?

You don't need new shocks due to the lift, but stock shocks usually have a lifespan of 40-80k miles.
