So I pulled off the wheel today. Both fronts. I need to change the rotors and pads. Also need new Hubs. So what would be the best way to do this?

I'm looking at two different brands of hubs. And thinking I should switch them to Manual Locking Hubs. The two brands on ebay are Warn and Rugged Ridge. Which brand would be stronger and better? I got aussie lockers coming for the front and back as well.

These

or these?

Most of us have switched to Warn. I have never heard of the other brand.

Here is a how to for changing from manual to auto hubs:

If you scroll up that page you will see info about removing and reinstalling your calipers.

So I should go with the Warns then since they are more well known? They very strong and no one have problems with them? You just turn the knob on front to engage 4x4?

I just ordered the kit without the socket. Do I need anything else that would be good to change out?

In addition to turning the hubs to LOCK, you also have to push the dash button to lock the transfer case.

Do I need the OTC 7157 socket?
It doesn't have to be from OTC, but you will need that 4 prong socket from somewhere. The outer locknut is torqued to at least 150 ft lbs., and you are not going to get it that tight with some makeshift tool. Just about any parts store should be able to get the four prong socket you need.

k thanks. Just hope the front end will be alot stronger now. As well with putting in the aussie lockers. Should I replace the drive shaft with a stronger one?
