I just picked up a 2001 4L10 rearend for my 1996 4.0, 5 speed, 4wd XLT. Should bolt right in. An easy find. Finding a front diff vac assist with 4.10 is proving harder.
I may swap in 4.10 into my stock front diff. Stock 3.55s ain't cutting it with 31s.
Does anyone have a good source for new or good used 4.10s ring and pinion that will work with the Dana 35 used in the 1996? I believe it has the reverse gears. Still working to confirm that.
