need urgent help fast!!! CAM POS SENSOR

I need to know really quick if the cam position sensor needs the red line through the glass between the small line and big line.

Sorry for a rush thing I am trying to understand this without a chiltions manual right now.


If needed I have a 94 Ford Explorer that I am putting a 92 ranger engine into.

Yes any where in that range will be a "rough tune" and will run fine.

In fact the engine will run with the thing unplugged, but it will be full rich wide open pulse width.

To get it dialed in for optimal injection timing, the voltage drop method will need to be done.

It won't hurt anything but your gas mileage to run it. So you can get to it later when you have time.

Well how do I get the stupid plug out of the 92 engine. It is stuck in their and won't come out.

The oil pump drive is just pressed down in there with an o-ring for a seal.

So you should be able to work it out by prying gently with a screw driver.

This may be difficult beyond description if the engine is already in the truck!
