Just picked up my new 2011 Explorer Limited w/302A package. Connected my iPhone and sync'd my phonebook successfully. However I thought my contact's address info would also be on the Sync system. I was hoping I could set a nav destination via the address book but I cannot find any way to do that. Is it possible?

EDIT: on pg.66 of the FordMyTouch supplement there's this entry:

Address book entry default
icon(s): This icon indicates the
location on the map of an address
book entry. This is the default
symbol shown after the entry has been stored to the Address Book by
any method other than the map. A different icon can be selected from
the 22 icons available; each icon can be used more than once.

I didn't know it could do this! IF you get it to work, let us know!

Set As Destination

this ability "theoretically" exists.. it's under OPTIONS button when looking at a contact's details within Phonebook.

You can hit "Save as Destination"....

HOWEVER, anytime I try it, it gives me an error saying "Invalid address, re check your phonebook entry"

too bad.. is this a known defect by Ford???

I just went out and added another destination address to mine. As long as the contact info is added properly in the phone, the address will transfer into NAV from the contact screen under the phone screen OPTIONS button.
I have 6-addresses saved in NAV Favorites. Works like a champ.

I have the same provlem. Addresses are properly inserted in the phone and they work well with phone navigation.
