2015 FPIU
Apologies for the bad photos I'm taking screengrabs of a walk-around video I did.

New to the forum, new to fords, new to the FPIU. Bought a 2015 at auction this past week and so far really like it. Just wanted to try one out. Currently in the process of converting over. Already dug into the Forscan rabbit-hole and got keyfobs working, dark mode off, horn and light feedback on locking. I'm pretty handy with stuff but I'm new to finding ford parts. Are there any good diagram resources for finding part numbers?

I have a few things on the to-do list and a few on the to-done already within the first 24hrs.

One that I can't figure out myself yet is a replacement for the mirror cap spaces. Are there reflectors, plugs, or lights that are supposed to fit in there I can buy? Would also be fine with 3d printing my own if there are models available. I'm just not enough into CAD yet to be comfortable with making my own from scratch. I know lights were in here but I've been unable to find a part number or anything. I'm unfamiliar with explorers in general, just very handy with tools, computers, and 3d printers.

I paid the top end of what I wanted at the auction for it, however it was READY to go and the cleanest one I've found at auction. Brand new enforcer winter tires, looks like a fresh service. Very few scratches or wear. Low miles at 81,555. Assuming it could have been a detective's car or something as it doesn't look like it was a patrol vehicle.

If you've got any input or resources to point me to I'd love to hear from you, but for now, here's my to-do list.

-Convert to automatic headlights (Parts ordered, already done some programming so can just head back in with Forscan and turn it on.)
-Something to fit in the front caps of the mirrors (Any ideas appreciated as I don't know if there's a part I can buy or if it's DIY)
-Rear cargo floor (Again, would love some help as I have no idea if there's a part I can buy or will just need to build my own.)
-Center console (What's the recommended replacement center console? I can wire from the existing plugs in place if needed, but it seems to have most if not all plugs still sitting in there.)
-Fix stuck forward front passenger seat (Idk if there's a trick here or common issue, I'll probably just end up pulling the seat and figuring it out while it's out of the car.)

But other than that it's in EXCELLENT shape for what it is and for what I paid for it. Really liking it so far and hope to be able to run this for quite a while.

Thanks for your time, ~Z.

If memory serves me, those mirror caps are aftermarket made for police upfitting, so you won't find some sort of turn signal swap-in replacement. If it were me I would swap them with Explorer caps or swap the entire assembly for OEM ones with actual turn signals. I don't think it looks bad as is either.

The rear cargo area can be swapped out for Explorer/Flex 3rd row seats if you want those.

IMO the best center console solution is the Explorer console. It bolts right in and is pretty easy to wire up. I cover up the shift indicator letters with color matched vinyl wrap and fill the shifter void with a phone holder. Alternatively you can swap the column shifter to the console shifter but I have yet to do that on any of mine.

Not sure how your seat is stuck, but it should be a simple fix as long as you can get the mounting bolts out.

Thanks for the reply, very good info. By the way your videos are the only reason I felt comfortable buying one of these. They've been EXTREMELY helpful.
