Alternator started making lots of noise, battery light came on. Managed to limp home with it. Bought new alternator, saw how bad fan was cracked. Have checked it before, but the bad cracks must of been at the bottom when I checked it. Anyway, new fan on the old explorer now too. New alternator on, the battery light didn't go off. Came on here and looked thru old posts. Fuse number 16 in the power distr. box under the hood. Changed it out and everything is good. Thanks again, would of taken me forever to find it on my own.
