Just installed yesterday, and had to snap a couple of photos for you guys.

I went with 265/70/17 Wrangler Duratracs on stock wheels, I think it looks pretty sharp, I can't wait to test these things out in the snow. The lift isn't massive, but you can definitely notice when parked beside other cars, or standing near it.

With the lift and the brand new tires, I think I gained little over 4 inches of lift. The one photo has my father climbing into the truck, he seemed more excited than I was haha.

looks awesome ... good job

Have the Duratracs also. You made a good choice. Looks good.

Thanks guys, as I said, I cannot wait to try these Duratracs in the snow. I tend to get a lot of snow and drifting in my area, so it should be fun. I read a lot of reviews before buying these, they all seemed to be really good. That and this is the first set to be sold for an Explorer by the tire store I bought them from lol.

The install wasn't too bad, I had more trouble with the fronts, prying down those lower arms to match up the struts than the rear, but other than that it went pretty quick and straight forward.

Thinking about getting a bull bar for the front now. It just never ends, does it? :D

How is the ride with this type of lift? Seems the suspension is completely maxed out...worse than a TT on a second gen.

For me, it almost feels like stock, the ride quality hasn't been compromised much at all, may have lost a bit of suspension travel going over larger bumps/ruts and potholes and such, but it's not bad at all, the tires are also a lot squishier than my old hardened BF G's

nice lookin x!

Looks nice.. i just did the same on mine except i went with 285's and i have a much higher off set wheel then stock

Sounds awesome, I'll have to look up the pics. I figured the stock wheels will look alright for now, no issues with clearance, so we'll see if the future will bring some new wheels, or wider tires. It's always one of those things that just never ends, I always have to be modifying or destroying something hah.

BTF Lift Spacers, 2.25F/1.75R. Only been rolling on this for about a week now, and I gotta say, it's awesome. I can't wait for snow hah.

I need new rubber for my EB so I'm interested to hear your take on the Wranglers. They are def a cool looking tire.

How far are you from KW?

I'm about 2 1/2 hours from KW, near Owen Sound.

The Duratracs seem pretty nice so far, I've only had these on the road for a week as well, they're actually very quiet on the highway, don't seem too floaty or anything, and do pretty well in the rain at decent speeds. I haven't really tested them out traction wise yet, but so far I'm loving them, and they look pretty aggressive.

Oh Yeah.

My Duratracs are awesome. I have 22,000 on mine and they are wearing great. Getting just a little noise but not much for such a aggressive tire. The only thing they are not great on is ice of course, and wet blacktop. Other than that they are awesome. We just got over a foot of snow and had up to two feet drifts. Tore right thru it, and pulled a few people out of the ditch with relative ease. Good luck, hope you get some. I have mine rotated every 4000 since they are a more aggresive tire. Is working real good.<div style="width:480px;text-align:right;"><embed width="480" height="360" src="http://static.pbsrc.com/flash/rss_slideshow.swf" flashvars="rssFeed=http%3A%2F%2Ffeed1203.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fbb396%2Freddawg911%2Ffeed.rss" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" /><a href="http://photobucket.com/redirect/album?showShareLB=1" target="_blank"><img src="http://pic.photobucket.com/share/icons/embed/btn_geturs.gif" style="border:none;" /></a><a href="http://s1203.photobucket.com/albums/bb396/reddawg911/" target="_blank"><img src="http://pic.photobucket.com/share/icons/embed/btn_viewall.gif" style="border:none;" /></a></div>

How much was the lift spacers and did you have to buy extended shocks?
I've been debating on doing this to my x.
