I have two codes that I read on my PIU. 2018 eco boost with 75k. There is no check engine light on. The only way I found the codes, is that I checked.

P0299 and P0316. I looked the codes up and it wasn’t clear as to a specific issue. Most issues happen at low speed or idle. It idles rough, and there is little to no boost from the line. In 2!d hear and above, you can really tell that the boost kicks in, but at a stop light, if you slam the accelerator down, little to no boost. I’m guessing maybe new plugs to start, and since the turbos do kick in, it doesn’t seem like it’s a bad turbo. I’m one week away from taking it in to the dealer to look in to the issue deeper.

Does anyone have any ideas what to check? I’m not super mechanically inclined, but I can check more simple things.

Thanks!

Found these using the 'Search' feature which is a very handy tool.
Good luck pinning down P0316.

I’m hoping and assuming that these codes are related since they appear at the same time.

The threads I found did not include both codes. Each was in on its own except for P0316 which had others similar to it.

I’ve erased these codes a week ago, and just today they popped up again, at the same time. They may not be connected, but the fact that they appeared at the same time again, makes me suspect that they are connected in some way.

P0316 is a miss fire at start up really be shouldn't be related to a under boost code (P0299) either one of these codes could have a lot of different things causing them.

it seems you can easily fix both of those codes by spending lots of money at your dealer and getting them fixed

you are most welcome

Now there's optimism for you! ;)

Very true around here. I was even a computer specialist in a “stealership” for about 10 years or so. You must have optimism to get anywhere in this life.
