greetings folks!
just signed up here, looking for some helpful advice.
like the title says, i dont have an explorer. i drive a 98 5.9 Limited Grand Cherokee. BUT i did jsut swap in a 96 explorer 8.8 out back, and here is why:
shes a great truck, which is why im spending so much to fix her. with my setup (lowered, sways, shocks, mike leach headers, 3" exhaust, vortech @ 12#, FMS 42# injectors, 2800 stall, SCT base tune) she ran a best of 13.05@103mph
since then i put on a 4bbl M1 intake, which should dip me into the 12's - and when my tune is sorted out, solidly in the high 12's.
i also have a set of 1.6RR's, and im going to buy some 1.7RR's for the exhaust side, and make myself some valve covers to clear them.
