1997 Explorer xlt 4x4
Hello;

I searched for this forum, because I have a 1997 Explorer xlt 4x4 and have a problem with the overdrive button not working. It stays in overdrive all the time. I just had my transmission fluid changed, and they checked for codes. They said that they found 1780 which is the overdrive problem, and also a 1127 oxygen senser problem. I just had the explorer smogged, and it came out fine. I did not know I had a oxygen senser problem. I really like our explorer and want to keep it in good condition. Can anyone tell me what most likely is causing the overdrive button not to work?

Thank you
Maxtor
