I am in the market for a used 4x4 to get me into and out of backpacking trailheads that are off the beaten path and out of reach of my daily driver, a Ford Focus ST. Have narrowed things down to an Explorer or a 4Runner. Hoping to learn more about the Explorer before I take the plunge!
