Hi my name is Scott and I'm fairly new to off roading, i've participated with one get together with the current group that I'm with. I have an '02 Ford Explorer that is completely stock. I have an idea what I'd like to do with it but the main area that I'm having troubles with is tires.
I would like to upgrade tires for general trail grazing areas in the Minnesota and Wisconsin areas. Any thoughts on tires and other modifcations?
Is there a Ford group in the Minnesota area?

Scott, do you have an '02 or an '01? It shows '01 under your login name, but '02 in your post. Those two years are completely different so we need to know if you have the 2nd gen, or the 3rd gen, Explorer.

I'll have to figure out how to change that. But it is 2002 Explorer.

Try posting a thread there with a descriptive title and you should get some replies from folks who are familiar with the 3rd Gen.

Also take a look through the "sticky" threads at the top of that forum. There is a lot of good in there.
