hello all
new member here
i have a 97 xlt v8.
i was changing the plugs today and snapped the #3 plug off below the hex. i understand the process of using an ez out but was just wondering if there is an ez out long enough to reach the plug (at least 6 inches long) and if so where i might get one.
thanks in advance
jeff

You should have no issues pulling the broken plug.. Just make sure no foreign items enter the engine..

When you install the new plugs, use antiseize.

If I'm correct its the very back passenger side plug. Remove the wheel and you'll have plenty of room. Remove all the ceramic insert from the plug, you'll want a shop vac on hand to prevent debris from entering the cylinder. I then used an impact wrench with a hanson EX-5 easy out. After removing the broken plug piece, I attached a small enough hose to my shop vac and inserted it into my plug hole to vacuum any remaining debris.
Good luck.

thanks for your help
fixed one , broke another.
looks like these plugs have been in there a loooooooong time!
this 20 min. project just turned into a 2 day project.
i own a 76 harley sportster so i am used to easy projects going horibally wrong quick.
thanks again
jeff
