Hey Everybody
Looking forward to some extra help.
Presently have a 1995 Ford Explorer with a newer transmission in it. The vehicle set for awhile before I bought it. The problem is that the transmission shifts fine but the O/D light is flashing when it is first started and within a couple of miles when you stop the trans will not downshift. I have to manual pull the automatic trans in 1st to take off or it will start in 2nd or 3rd. Once I take off I can put back in OD and it will shift fine and overdrive does engage.
Took it back to trans shop and they tore into it and said it was fixed. It did work fine for 30 or 40 miles and then started in again.
Does anyone have a clue as to what this could possible be.
