- 2008 Mercury Mountianeer
Hi Everybody,
I have had many used vehicles, over the years.
I find that Ford vehicles, as long as the previous owner changed oil once in awhile, tend to stand up well.
I have had 302, 351, 2.0, 3.0, 3.8, 4.0, 4.6, 5.0 and 5.4 engines.
I had my share of FWD transmission problems.
My 2005 Mercury Mountianeer, is curently at the trans shop for work.
When I get a low mileage vehicle (under 100K), it is usually from Family or a Friend.
Most vehicles have over 100K, so there is always something to work on.
I have 1 child driving and another getting ready for drivers ed.
I am hoping that this Forum, will help us along the way, and hope someone might learn something from us.
I try to check my e-mails 1-2 times a week.
Have a Good One!
