'00 Limited
I got rid of a Durango for this low KM '00 explorer. I first noticed the oil gauge ticking idle and two weeks later after an enthusiastic uphill pull with a trailer this God aweful clattle. Marbles in a blender sort of thing. Eratic oil pressure. I pulled the timing cover and rocker. The left bank chain is totally floppy. Can THAT cause all that noise. Thanks, Cam

Yes, that's the source of your noise. The oil pressure issue is probably caused by the pieces of debris from the broken part clogging the oil pump pickup.

It's time to rebuild the timing chains, drop the oil pan and clean things up.
