After having my truck parked for almost a year because 1 dealership & 1 shop told me it was a rod knock I found this board. I read a few posts about the rocker arm wear problems & thought I would check mine. It ended I had a couple that were slotted on the valve end & all were badly worn on the pushrod end. After reading some posts I bought a set of rebuilt rockers from Delta Cams off of Ebay & installed them. All I can say is thanks to anyone that posted about changing rockers instead of engines. The tapping is now gone, there is a very noticeable gain in power & I can now hear the engine sucking in air, similar to turning the air cleaner lid over on a carb engine (Just not as loud). Getting air into & out of the engine made a difference in my case. ---- Thanks again to the people that post on this board!!
