Just getting the word out about TMTC http://www.texasmotorizedtrails.com . The Grand Opening is over Labor Day Weekend. Our first land acquistion has been Barnwell Mt. OHV area 5 miles North of Gilmer,TX on Hwy 155.
The entrance is at the rear of the picnic area.

Trails are open for motorcycles, atvs, and all 4 wheel drives. They range from easy (for beginners) to challenging (for the wahoos). With over 1,800 acres, it's well worth the $35 yearly membership.

This is Great News

Laura, thanks for the info. With the closing of 360 in the Dallas area, this will provide another option for Texans besides driving up to Clayton.

I am going to close this thread and move/open it to our "Serious Explorations" forum which is where we have our trail run discussions.

Welcome, and once again, thanks!

Don't forget 260 acre Marshall Creek located on lake Grapevine. Open daily from dawn to dusk for free. It may be small and overpopulated by motorcycles, but being close to the metroplex and on the lake...it makes a nice afternoon play. hwy 377 North, turn right at first street after hwy 114(in Roanoke)...follow to end at the Corp of Engineers Park.
