Hello,

New to the Explorer Forums and have a couple questions of those in the know. Im a Super Duty guy living in Mid-MO and picked up an '09 XLT for the wife. My biggest quesiton for you is...

How does one get the DRLs disabled? We live in the U.S. in a state that does not require them. And without argument we just dont want them.

Any help much appreciated.

Brian

Check in the manual, there might be a fuse that you can remove to turn them off. But you might have to take it to the dealer.

Why do you not want them?

During its time at the dealer I was told they could only 'Delay' them. Not sure what delay means but they were eventually able to deactivate them. It did take calling Ford directly and having them do it online. Either way thanks for the advice.

Dealership has to go in and program it in the "smart junction box" SJB. It can be done, but some will say it cant.
