OK, been here since last July. I've got a 90 Ranger 4x4, 2.3 with 5 speed, electric transfer case and Warn locking hubs. 6" Skyjacker lift, 31s and fiberglass front fenders...

Truck needs help, planning to get it trail ready.

Been on Rattlesnake with my Grand Cherokee... SO not too new to 4x4...

Looking for 89-92 Ranger cab so I can replace my rusty cab...

Welcome to EF Roger.

Thanks, glad to be here... I've been out with some of the Utah 4x4 club forum guys in my Grand Cherokee, and I really did get through most of Rattlesnake with it. But I've decided to get the Ranger more trail ready. Those Skyjacker springs are way too stiff, I need to extend the radius arms with an eye towards a Jeep Dana 30 solid front axle. Whether the truck stays street legal or not, it will be trail ready before too long.

What are the stats of your jeep?

1995 Grand Cherokee, STOCK w/Upcountry package (1" factory lift, tow hooks, engine, gas tank and transfer case skid plates), 4.0, automatic, NP242, D30 Front axle and D35 rear, with 3.73s. And lastly, 235/75R-15 BFG AT KOs...

Plenty of folks watching, I ran most of the obstacle on Rattlesnake, took 2 bypasses. Lots of fun.:D

THe Ranger is going to be a trail rig, but should be street legal.:salute:

just saw you post in another thread, you still have the ranger? we should go wheelin sometime

Where you located? Obviously, I'm in Tooele. Took my ZJ to Miller's offroad park during their open house 2 weeks ago. High centered the thing on its trans skidplate...

I've had fun on trails ranging from Rattlesnake to easier stuff north of Delle.

I've got to finish a headgasket swap on an XJ. Last December it started like this. (As mentioned elswhere, I'm thinking about going back for that XJ parked behind the one we bought... Still there almost a year later, ought to be CHEAP!!!)

But after lots of work (in between working on the Ranger), it looks like this.

It will also be getting 2" coil spacers and 2" lift blocks for the leaf springs. Really, more to clear the 235/75/15s we put on it.

The Ranger has been an education, and I believe I can do almost anything now. We are getting a Cherokee D30 to chuck under it. Need to build some links and then find some softer springs. No flex in the front, though we haven't left the swaybar disconnected yet either.

And when I get the Ranger FINALLY done, my poor neglected ZJ gets a 2" lift with new front control arms... I moved up last year from 235s to 30" tires, and just a couple weeks ago bumped up to those 31s in the "turtle" picture. And oh yeah, I need to better tuck that trans skid...

...I'm really liking that Ranger...:biggthump

i live in salt lake city, on the border of holladay and murray.
