New wheels!

Ive searched and searched through alot of pages and really need help now. My girlfriend and I just bought some Mustang Bullitt wheels for her 00' Mountaineer AWD and I have an extra set of 245/45/17 tires from my Mustang. We are putting these on temporarily until we can afford 255/60/17 tires.

How can we correct the speedometer and such so that its not off?

It looks like the older models X's have speedo gears, but what about the mounty?

Explorers and Mountaineers are the same except body trims. You can reprogram it - but it'll cost you around 100

Im sorry I dont get it. There are too many three letter words in there(NGS, GEM, WDS...)

So it sounds like I would need to have a scan tool that only a Ford dealership would have? I work at a Toyota dealership. Is there anything here that I might be able to use?
