Newbie 95 Ranger tranny help

Hi everyone im a girl whatever that means and no mechanic so with that said i purchased a 95 ranger few months back got to drive it about 3 days transmission went out . Replaced tranny .. but it still sluggish dont want to shift right. Any suggestions ? Please help thank you

What do you mean "transmission went out?" Stop working? Not shifting correctly? Whining? Or what? I am assuming that you have an automatic transmission.

And exactly what do you mean by "replaced it?" Put a used one in? Put a reconditioned one in? Put a rebuilt one in? Or?

Are you SURE that you had/have transmission problems? Or could you have engine problems affecting the transmission? Even a plugged catalytic converter can make transmissions shift badly.
