Just dumped the leftover 2016 edge the wife passed down to me and leased a 2018 explorer sport in blue metallic. With the rebates and lease rates available on leftover 18's, I actually saved money on my payment. I went from a 41K edge SEL to a 53K explorer sport and my payment went down by 20 bucks a month. This will be my daily driver until summer when I'll pull out my 2017 mustang GT convertible that I only drive when the weather is nice. Also I live about 10 minutes from the Cleveland engine plant where they build the ecoboost engines.
The only options that the explorer has is the upgraded 401A package, the twin panel moonroof, and the second row bucket seats. The only thing I've done so far is a full set of weathertech floor liners and a behind the third row cargo liner.
