Newbie needs help

My 99 Explorer XLS now has no instrument panel lights.
Also, the radio is possessed and turns itself on, or switches to cd even when I don't have one in to listen to. Within one month I had to change out fuses for my brake lights, windshield fluid motor and cigarette lighter. The alternator tested ok. What's going on?

I would go get a new radio and then pray.

I'll bet you have a penny stuck in your ciggarett lighter, or a short in that cicuit.
